Our Program
The conventional "one size fits all" approach to education can sometimes fall short in meeting the diverse needs of all learners, and may even contribute to broader societal challenges, such as the school-to-prison pipeline.
At Nutmeg Tree Montessori, we are committed to offering an alternative—one that embraces the Montessori Method to support the development of independent thinkers and engaged, compassionate citizens. Our goal is to nurture future generations with strong critical thinking and social skills, contributing to a more inclusive, harmonious, and equitable society.

High-quality Authentic Montessori Education
Our program offers hands-on Montessori Materials and the advanced interdisciplinary curriculum is matched to suit the inner needs of each child.
Small group or one-on-one instruction in well-prepared classrooms.
Movement is intertwined with learning in mixed-age (3-year span) classrooms, with Certified Montessori teachers.
Curriculum enhances independence, self-discipline and character development
Outdoor education and the Arts are included in the curriculum.
Diversity
We believe in creating a community with families and staff from varying socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
The school will be housed in a neighborhood with a lower socioeconomic status.
Diverse therapies from various aspects of the medical field will be utilized to support and create healthy families.
Montessori Education began with children with disabilities and Nutmeg Tree Montessori will be an inclusive school.
Collaboration
To foster equity, efficiency and transparency, collaboration will be the heartbeat of our operations, with all stakeholders: Children, families and all staff (medical and non medical)
Collaborative work periods will be a natural occurrence in all classrooms, within an uninterrupted 3-hour block of work time.
Medical In-House Support
Naturally occurring within schools are students with varying needs. To support our community of students holistically, a pediatric medical center will provide sustained, efficient, and equitable services for families in need.
Therapy rooms will be part of the physical design of the School.
